Support for projects

In the field of the implementation of the children's rights agreement
and the prevention of violence towards children, the Children's
Foundation launch a project appeal every year aimed at associations.
The theme for the project appeal is defined each year by the grants commission. For the previous years the themes have been :
2001: Minors without direction (french or foreign includng the parental support and the support to help the reinsertion of young people into family life, the education system and society)
2000: Illegal unacompanied movement of minors, children and young people.
1999: Unacompanied minors living from and in the streets.

1st tri-mester : Launch of the projects appeal
30th of June : Last date for applications
October/November : Decision by the commission about the grants to be given out
The Foundation aims to support :
Projects that support parents and children, and projects that concern the development of leaflets, public awareness or prevention campaigns within the area concerned.
Long term projects, carried out in France that present a rigorous methodology.
Projects that are carried out at a european and/or international level, and put pressure on a legal aspect of the country.
Projects should be carried out with the countries signed up to the Children's Rights Agreement of the 20th of November 1989.
Projects that won't be supported : conferences, research, study holidays and help for individuals.
The subsidised projects will be subject to a mid way evaluation.
The application report should include:
Presentation of the association : Situation, declaration to the J.O, composition of the board of directors, activities and financial reports from the previous year, provisional program and budget, date and place of birth and contact information of the person responsible for the project.
Presentation of the project (two typed pages) : title, history, description, budget expressed in french francs, objectives, practical details for the implementation of the project (calendar), practical details regarding the people involved in the project (present and possible future partners), strategy for the evaluation of the results.
The accepted projects will be presented to the Foundations grants allocation commission in October. The directors of the accepted projects will be invited to come and present their projects. The subsidised projects will become part of an agreement with the Children's Foundation and will take part in a midway evaluation.
